Laser-spectroscopy studies of the nuclear structure of neutron-rich radium

NUCLEAR MOMENTS 222,223,224,225,226,227,228,229,230,231,232,233Ra; measured high-resolution hyperfine-structure spectra, isotope shifts, changes in mean-square charge; deduced King-plot for the extraction of the F and M atomic factors, odd-even staggering. 223,225,227,229,231Ra; deduced hyperfine factors A and B, static magnetic dipole and electric quadrupole moments. Collinear Resonance Ionization Spectroscopy (CRIS) at ISOLDE, CERN facility. Radium isotopes produced by impinging 1.4-GeV protons on a thick uranium-carbide target followed by surface and multistep laser resonance ionization using RILIS ion source, and mass separation with the high resolution separator, then cooled and bunched using the ISOLDE linear Paul trap, ISCOOL. Comparison with previous experimental values. Systematics of intrinsic quadrupole moments for N=130-146 U, Th, Ra and Rn isotopes, and those of odd-even staggering for N=132-144 Fr and Ra isotopes.
