RADIOACTIVITY 173,174Ho(β-)[from 9Be(238U, F), E=345 MeV/nucleon, followed by separation of fission fragments using BigRIPS separator and ZeroDegree spectrometer and implantation in WAS3ABi at RIBF-RIKEN facility]; measured Eγ, Iγ, Eβ, conversion electrons, βγ-, (ce)γ- and γγ-coin, half-lives of 173Ho and 174Ho decays from γ-decay curves, half-life of an isomer in 173Ho using double-sided silicon strip detectors (DSSD) and the EURICA γ-ray spectrometer. 174Er; deduced levels, J, π, β feedings, logft, configurations. 173Ho; deduced level, isomer, J, π. 174Ho; deduced J, π and configuration of ground state. 173,174Ho, 173,174Er; calculated levels, J, π, deformation parameters β2, γ and β4, configurations using configuration-constrained potential energy surface (PES) calculations. Systematics of yrast g.s. bands in N=106 isotones: 172Dy, 174Er, 176Yb, 178Hf, 180W, 182Os. Systematics of experimental logft values in decays of 168Ho, 171,173Er, 174,176Tm, 178Lu. Systematics of Weisskopf hindrance factors in odd-A Ho isotopes: 159,161,163,165,167Ho.

NUCLEAR MOMENTS 196,197,198Ir; measured hyperfine structure (HFS) spectra using in-gas-cell laser resonance ionization spectroscopy at the KEK Isotope Separation System at RIBF-RIKEN facility; deduced spins for the ground states, magnetic dipole moments, mean-square charge radii, isotope shifts, β2 deformation parameters. Comparison with theoretical calculations based on the strong coupling model. Comparison with previous experimental results. Systematics of quadrupole moments, magnetic dipole moments, mean-square charge radii and β2 deformation parameters for 189,191,193,196,197,198Ir.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 198Pt(136Xe, X)196Ir/197Ir/198Ir, E=10.75 MeV/nucleon; measured extraction yields, Eβ, half-lives of the decays of 196Ir, 197Ir and 198Ir. The Ir isotopes produced in multi-nucleon transfer reaction. Comparison with previous experimental half-lives.

Structure of the neutron-rich nucleus 30Mg

RADIOACTIVITY 30Na(β-), (β-n), (β-2n)[nuclear-spin-polarized radioactive beam of 28-keV 30Na from U(p, X), E=500 MeV at TRIUMF cyclotron]; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ and βγ-coin, γγ(θ), β(θ) from spin-polarized 30Na source, isomer half-life by centroid shift of βγ(t) spectrum using eight sets of detector telescopes consisting of a coaxial high-purity Ge detector (HPGe) and thin plastic scintillator at ISAC-TRIUMF facility. 30Mg; deduced levels, J, π, bands, M1 scissors mode, multipolarities, asymmetry parameters for β transitions, β feedings, logft. 30Na; deduce J, π of the ground state, %β-n or Pn and %β-2n or P2n. Comparison with CHFB + LQRPA, AMD + GCM, and large-scale shell model with the EEdf1 interaction, and with previous experimental data.

COMPILATION 30Mg; compiled levels, J, π from literature, and evaluation in the ENSDF database.

Structure of 31Mg: Shape coexistence revealed by β-ψ spectroscopy with spin-polarized 31Na

RADIOACTIVITY 31Na(β-), (β-n)[from 238U(p, X), E=500 MeV, followed by high-resolution mass separation and spin-polarization of 31Na beam at ISAC-I-TRIUMF facility]; measured β spectra, polarization asymmetry of β particles emitted by the decay of 31Na, Eβ, Iβ, Eγ, Iγ, βγ(θ), γ(polarization), βγ- and γγ-coin, half-life of the 50-keV level in 31Mg by βγ(t) using thin plastic scintillators for β- detection and Ge detectors for γ detection at TRIUMF. 31Mg; deduced levels, J, π, %β-n and %β-2n, deformed rotational bands with Kπ=1/2+ and 1/2-. 31Mg(β-)[from 31Na β- decay]; observed γ rays. Comparison with previous experimental data, and with theoretical calculations. Systematics of energies of the lowest 1/2+, 3/2+, 3/2-, and 7/2- levels in 31Mg, 33Si, 35S, 37Ar, 39Ca.

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 31Mg; calculated levels, J, π using antisymmetrized molecular dynamics (AMD) plus generator coordinate method (GCM), and shell model with the EEdf1 interaction, microscopically derived from chiral effective field theory. Comparison with experimental data.

COMPILATION 31Mg; compiled and discussed experimental and evaluated data for levels, J, π from 1984 to 2013.

In-gas-cell laser spectroscopy of the magnetic dipole moment of the N ≈ 126 isotope 199Pt

NUCLEAR MOMENTS 199Pt, 199mPt; measured magnetic dipole and electric quadrupole moments, isotope shifts, mean-square charge radii by hyperfine splitting of the 48.792-nm transition using the in-gas-cell laser ionization spectroscopy (IGLIS), and the half-lives of the ground state and the isomer; discussed configurations. 192,196,198Pt; measured mean-square charge radii relative to that of 194Pt by hyperfine structure. Pt isotopes produced in 198Pt(136Xe, X), E=10.75 MeV/nucleon reaction using the on-line KEK Isotope Separation System (KISS) at RIKEN. Comparison with previous experimental results, and with self-consistent Bogoliubov (HFB) model calculations. Systematics of magnetic dipole moments of 5/2- and 13/2+ states in 193,195,197,199Pt and 197,199Hg. Systematics of mean square charge radius and quadrupole deformation in A=178-199 Pt isotopes.
