γ-ray spectroscopy of low-lying yrast and non-yrast states in neutron-rich 94, 95, 96Kr

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 1H(94Kr, p), (95Kr, p)(95Kr, np), (97Rb, 2p), (96Kr, p), (96Kr, np), (97Rb, n2p), E≈180 MeV/nucleon [secondary beams from 9Be(238U, X), E=345 MeV/nucleon primary reaction]; measured reaction products, Eγ, Iγ, Ep, Ip, pp-coin, gγ∓coin, pγ-coin. 94,95,96Kr; deduced levels, J, π, T1/2 of isomer and levels in 95Kr. Comparison to five-dimensional collective Hamiltonian (5DCH) beyond-mean-field model and mapped IBM calculations. Beam delivered via the ZeroDegree spectrometer to the Euroball RIKEN Cluster Array (EURICA) at RIBF-RIKEN.

Competition between allowed and first-forbidden β decays of 208At and expansion of the 208Po level scheme

RADIOACTIVITY 208At(EC), (β+)[from Pb(p, X), E-1.4 GeV beam from the PS-Booster at CERN-ISOLDE facility, followed by separation of 208At fragments using the General Purpose Separator]; measured Eγ, Iγ, βγγ-coin, γγ-coin using four HPGe clover detectors at the IDS and a TIGRESS Ge detector from TRIUMF. 208Po; deduced levels, J, π, Iβ feedings, logft values, γ-branching ratios. Comparison with previous experimental results, and with shell-model calculations. Discussed competition between allowed and first-forbidden β-decays.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 1H(72Ni, p'), E=271.0 MeV/nucleon; 1H(74Ni, p'), E=263.5 MeV/nucleon; 1H(76Zn, p'), E=275.5 MeV/nucleon; 1H(80Zn, p'), E=263.4 MeV/nucleon, [secondary 72,74Ni, 76,80Zn beams from 9Be(238U, X), E=345 MeV/nucleon primary reaction, followed by separation of fragments using BigRIPS separator]; measured reaction products, yields, Eγ, Iγ, particles, (particle)γ-coin, angular integrated proton inelastic scattering σ using MINOS target device, DALI2 array for γ detection and ZeroDegree spectrometer for particles at RIBF-RIKEN facility. 72,74Ni, 76,80Zn; deduced first 2+ and 4+ levels, and second 2+ levels in 72,74Ni; analyzed B(E2) values and matrix elements for the first 2+ states. Comparison with shell-model calculations, and with previous measurements. Systematics of β2 deformation parameters in 62Zn to 80Zn, and 54Ni to 74Ni isotopes. Comparison of experimental σ for inelastic scattering with calculations using Jeukenne-Lejeune-Mahaux (JLM) folding model with quasiparticle random-phase approximation (QRPA). 58Ni(p, p), E=295, 250, 333 MeV; 58Ni(p, p'), E=178 MeV; analyzed σ(θ) data using the JLM reaction model and KD02 potential.

Fast-timing Measurements in 100Zr Using LaBr3(Ce) Detectors Coupled with Gammasphere

Results preliminary, the main aim was the feasibility study.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 1H(85Ge, np), (87As, 2p), (89As, 2p), E≈270 MeV/nucleon reduced to ≈70 MeV/nucleon through the target, [85Ge, 87As and 89As secondary beams from 9Be(238U, F), E=345 MeV primary reaction at RIBF-RIKEN facility]; measured yields of fission fragments using time-of-flight method and BigRIPS magnetic spectrometer, particle spectra using ZeroDegree spectrometer and Doppler-corrected Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin using DALI2 array of NaI detectors. 84,86,88Ge; deduced levels, J, π. Systematics of energies of first 2+ and 4+ states in even-even Z=32-40, N=50-60 nuclei. 86,88Ge; calculated potential energy surfaces in (β2, γ) plane using particle number variation after projection (PN-VAP) approach. Discussed triaxiality in even-even Ge nuclei based upon the observation of a tentative 3+ state in 86Ge. Comparison with shell-model, and symmetry-conserving configuration mixing Gogny (SCCM) model.
