First measurement of polarisation transfer Cnx, in deuteron photodisintegration

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 2H(polarized γ, X), E=370-700 MeV; measured reaction products; deduced the polarisation transfer from a circularly-polarised photon to the final state neutron in deuterium photodisintegration. Cryogenic liquid deuterium target within the Crystal Ball detector at MAMI.

RADIOACTIVITY 28S(p), (2p) [from 9Be(29S, n), E=150 MeV/nucleon]; 30Cl(p), (2p) [from 9Be(29S, n), E=150 MeV/nucleon]; measured Ep, Ip, Eγ, Iγ, pγ-coin; deduced total decay kinetic energy, decay energy spectrum. 30Cl; deduced levels, J, π, S(p). 28S; deduced levels, J, π, spectroscopic factors. Comparison to previous experimental results and shell model calculations.
