First measurement of polarisation transfer Cnx, in deuteron photodisintegration

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 2H(polarized γ, X), E=370-700 MeV; measured reaction products; deduced the polarisation transfer from a circularly-polarised photon to the final state neutron in deuterium photodisintegration. Cryogenic liquid deuterium target within the Crystal Ball detector at MAMI.

Near-threshold π- photoproduction on the deuteron

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 2H(γ, π-), E=147.0, 149.7, 152.3, 154.9, 157.6, 159.8 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, total σ(E) using three large NaI(Tl) detectors for γ detection of radiative π- capture in target at the Tagged-Photon Facility of the MAX IV Laboratory in Sweden; deduced probability of π- capture inside the LD2 target. Comparison with theoretical predictions.

Compton scattering from the deuteron above pion-production threshold

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 2H(γ, γ'), E=143.2, 148.4, 153.2, 158.5 MeV bremsstrahlung photons produce by electron beam of about 190 MeV at the MAX-IV Laboratory in Lund; measured Eγ, γ(θ), γγ-coin, and differential σ(θ) of Compton scattered photons above the pion-production threshold using Compton and Two-Photon Spectrometer (CATS) at MAX IV Laboratory.
