Hybrid stars in light of the HESS J1731-347 remnant and the PREX-II experiment

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 208Pb; analyzed the central compact object in the HESS J1731-347 remnant data; deduced a stiff low density hadronic equation of state (EOS), which is favored by the recent PREX-II experiment, using three widely employed Skyrme effective interactions combined them with a vector MIT bag model in order obtain a variety of hybrid EOSs.

Investigating the possible existence of hyper-heavy nuclei in a neutron-star environment

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 460U(140Ni, X), E=0.01, 1.25, 1.5 MeV/nucleon; calculated evolution of nucleonic density for central collision, time-evolution of the fussioning system in a neutron star environment. Constrained molecular dynamics (CoMD) simulations based on a two-body effective interaction with Skyrme potential. Observed new type of fusion barrier in neutron star environment (screening of Coulomb interaction) due to a “neutron wind”. Synthesis of extremely heavy and n-rich nuclei down to temperatures 108 K via fusion appears feasible with introduction of the nucleonic background of surrounding nuclei.
