Cross section measurements of proton capture reactions on Sr isotopes for astrophysics applications

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 86,87,88Sr(p, γ)87Y/88Y/89Y, E=1.5-5 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γ(θ), 4π γ-summing, σ(E, Eγ) at the 4 MV Dynamitron of University of Stuttgart, or Dynamitron-Tandem-Laboratorium (DTL) of Ruhr-Universitat, Bochum. 87,88,89Y; deduced levels, J, π, astrophysical S factors. 84,86,87,88Sr(p, γ)85Y/85mY/87Y/87mY/88Y/89Y/89mY, E=1.3-3.8 MeV; analyzed present and previous experimental data; deduced σ(E) and astrophysical S factors, and compared with Hauser-Feshbach (HF) theoretical calculations using TALYS 1.95 with combinations of optical model parameters (OMP), nuclear level density (NLD) models, and γ-strength functions (γSF) models. Discussed uncertainties arising from global nuclear models for a wide range of relevant nuclei. Relevance to discrepancies between the observed abundances of p-nuclei in the solar system and those predicted by different astrophysical models of the p-process.

New measurement of the 144Sm(α, γ)148Gd reaction rate for the γ process

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 144Sm(α, γ)148Gd, E=10.66-12.66 MeV; measured Eα, Iα from α decay of 148Gd at , σ(E) using activation method by irradiating the 144Sm targets at the cyclotron of PTB-Braunschweig, and α counting at TU-Dresden; deduced astrophysical reaction rates from 1.5-4.5 GK. Comparison with earlier experimental results, and with statistical-model using the TALYS code and the latest parametrizations of α+ nucleus optical model potentials (OMPs). Reaction rates compared with data in Reaclib database.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 74,76,78,80Se(p, γ), E=1.5-6 MeV; 77,80,82Se(p, n), E=1.5-6 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γ(θ), capture σ(E) by activation method using Dynamitron accelerator at the University of Stuttgart, and at Van de Graaff Tandem Accelerator of Laboratory of NCSR, Demokritos. 79,81Br; deduced levels, J, π, multipolarities, astrophysical S factors and reaction rates. 77Se(p, γ), E(cm)=1-4 MeV; 82Se(p, γ), E(cm)=6-18 MeV; 78Se(p, n), E(cm)=4.5-7 MeV; analyzed σ(E) data. Comparison with theoretical calculations using reaction code TALYS using global semimicroscopic and phenomenological models of optical potentials (OMPs), nuclear level densities (NLDs), and γ-ray strength functions (γSFs), and with previous experimental cross section data.

Comparison with theoretical calculations using TALYS, EMPIRE and MECO codes, and with ENDF/B-VIII.0 evaluation. 162,164,166,167,168,170Er(n, 2n), E<20 MeV; calculated σ(E) using statistical model code TALYS, and compared with available experimental data, and with evaluated data in ENDF/B-VIII.0 library.

Lifetime measurements in 100Ru

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 88Sr(14C, 2n), E=40, 46 MeV; measured Eγ, half-lives of 2+, 4+, 6+ and 8+ yrast levels by recoil-distance Doppler shift (RDDS) and Doppler-shift attenuation method (DSAM) using ORGAM array and eight detectors from Miniball array at 15 MV Tandem accelerator of the ALTO laboratory in Orsay. 100Ru; deduced levels, B(E2), not the best candidate for E(5) symmetry. Comparison with excited Vampir, shell-model calculations, and theoretical E(5) level scheme.
