Precision measurement of the E2 transition strength to the 2⁺₁ state of ¹²C

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹²C(e, e'), E=42.5 MeV; measured scattered E(e), I(e) using the LINTOTT spectrometer at the Darmstadt S-DALINAC facility; deduced form factor, B(E2) and quadrupole moment for the first 2+ state in ¹²C. Comparison in-medium no-core shell model (IM-NCSM) calculations with NLO to N³LO interactions, and with previous experimental results.
