Extra yield in hot Ni isotopes below the Giant Dipole Resonance

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ²⁴Mg(³²S, X)⁵⁶Ni, E=90 MeV; ²⁶Mg(³⁴S, X)⁶⁰Ni, E=79 MeV; ²⁶Mg(³⁶S, X)⁶²Ni, E=78 MeV; measured reaction products, Eγ, Iγ; deduced yields, linearized measured γ-ray yields, the tail of the Giant Dipole Resonance which may be attributed to a Pygmy Dipole Resonance in an excited nucleus with statistical model using a Monte Carlo approach. The IFIN 9 MV Tandem facility.

Measurement of the ⁷Li(γ, t)⁴He ground-state cross section between E_γ = 4.4. and 10 MeV

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ⁷Li(γ, t), E=4.4-10 MeV from High Intensity Gamma-ray Source (HIγS) at TUNL; measured E(t), I(t), Eα, Iα, Eγ and Iγ, αt-coin, ground state σ(E) using the SIDAR silicon detector array. ³H(α, γ), E(cm)=0-7 MeV; deduced astrophysical S-factor from R-matrix analysis. Comparison with model predictions, and with previous experimental results. Relevance to primordial Li problem and the mirror α-capture reactions.

RADIOACTIVITY ¹³⁷Cs(β^-), ¹³⁷Ba(IT); measured decay products, Eγ, Iγ, γ-γ-coin.; deduced γ-ray energies, widths and nuclear static dipole polarisabilities, angular correlation of the two photons emitted in the double-γ decay, Energy-sharing distribution for the two photons in the double-γ decay, an improved value on the double-photon versus single-photon branching ratio. Comparison with calculations. CeBr₃ detectors from ELIGANT, the ELI Gamma Above Neutron Threshold (ELIGANT) detector system.
