18O-induced single-nucleon transfer reactions on 40Ca at 15.3A MeV within a multichannel analysis

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 40Ca(18O, 17O)41Ca, E=15.3 MeV/nucleon; 40Ca(18O, 19F)39K, E=15.3 MeV/nucleon; measured reaction products, 17O and 19F ejectiles produced in one-neutron stripping and one-proton pickup reactions, excitation energy spectra, differential σ(θ) using MAGNEX magnetic spectrometer at the K800 Superconducting Cyclotron of INFN-LNS-Catania under NUMEN Collaboration. Comparison with theoretical calculations of σ(θ) distributions using distorted wave Born approximation (DWBA) and coupled channel Born approximation (CCBA) frameworks, with Sao Paulo optical potentials and shell model spectroscopic amplitudes. 17O, 19F, 41Ca, 39K; deduced excitation energies from one-neutron transfer reactions. 17O, 41Ca; 19F, 39K; calculated one-neutron spectroscopic amplitudes for 18O projectile and 40Ca target overlaps using shell-model with the p-sd-mod and ZBM2-modified interactions; coupling schemes for the projectile-ejectile and target-residual systems for the one-proton and one-neutron transfer used in the optical model (OM) + DWBA and CCBA calculations.

Analysis of two-proton transfer in the 40Ca(18O, 20Ne)38Ar reaction at 270 MeV incident energy

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 40Ca(18O, 20Ne)38Ar, E=270 MeV; measured 20Ne ejectiles, excitation energy spectrum, σ(θ) for ground and excited states of 20Ne and 38Ar using MAGNEX large acceptance spectrometer and a focal plane detector at the K800 Superconducting Cyclotron accelerator, INFN-LNS laboratory in Catania as part of the NUMEN Collaboration research program of transfer reactions; analyzed data using finite-range coupled reaction channel (CRC) and coupled-channel Born approximation (CCBA) methods with the FRESCO code; deduced spectroscopic amplitudes and differential cross sections for transitions to different states; calculated contributions from the direct and sequential transfer mechanisms.

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 38Ar, 39K, 40Ca; calculated level energies, B(E2), B(E3) using shell-model, and compared with experimental data. 19F, 20,22Ne, 38Ar, 39K; calculated one-proton and two-proton spectroscopic amplitudes for the projectile overlaps between the initial and final states used in the CCBA and CRC calculations for the sequential two-proton transfer reaction.

18O + 76Se elastic and inelastic scattering at 275 MeV

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 76Se(18O, 18O), (18O, 18O'), E=275 MeV beam from K800 superconducting cyclotron at the Laboratori Nazionali del Sud-Catania; measured 18O ejectiles, analyzed in momentum by the MAGNEX spectrometer, differential elastic and inelastic σ(θ) using carbon-backed target; deduced coupling effects in the elastic channel. Comparison with DWBA and coupled channel (CC) calculations using code FRESCO, with double-folding optical potential (DFOL) DFOL and Sao Paulo potential (SPP).

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 1H(9Be, 9Be), (9Be, d)8Be, (9Be, 6Li)4He, E=24.5 MeV; measured reaction products, elastically scattered 9Be, α, 6Li, σ(θ), triple α-α-p coincidence for breakup process in a full kinematic approach using MAGNEX magnetic spectrometer and GLORIA detector array at INFN-LNS in Catania; deduced ΔE-E spectrum, reconstructed sum α+α+n energy versus the energy of an individual α, reconstructed Q-value spectra, reconstructed energy spectra for the unobserved neutron and the recoiling proton. Comparison with four-body continuum discretized coupled-channel (CDCC) formalism.
