Spectroscopy of 46Ar by the (t, p) two-neutron transfer reaction

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 3H(44Ar, p)46Ar, E=2.16 MeV/nucleon, [44Ar secondary beam from U(p, X), E=1.4 GeV primary beam using FEBIAD ion source and HRS separator at CERN]; measured recoil proton and other light-particle spectra using T-REX silicon array, Eγ, Iγ, (recoil protons)γ-coin using MINIBALL array for γ-ray detection, angular distribution of protons from 2n-transfer channel at REX-ISOLDE-CERN facility. DWBA analysis of σ(θ) data for protons using amplitudes calculated with SDPF-MU, SDPF-U and EPQQM shell-model effective interactions. 46Ar; deduced levels, J, π. Comparison of level spectrum with shell-model calculations.

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 46Ar; calculated levels, J, π by shell model using SDPF-NR, SDPF-MU, SDPF-U and EPQQM effective interactions, spectroscopic amplitudes and two-nucleon amplitudes (TNA) in transfer reactions, wave functions. Discussed B(E2) for the first 2+ state.
