Revealing fine structure in the antineutrino spectra from a nuclear reactor

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 235,238U, 239,241Pu(n, F), E=thermal; analyzed fission product yields; calculated inverse β-decay (IBD) antineutrino spectrum generated by the β- decay of fission fragments in a nuclear reactor using the summation method; deduced fine structure in antineutrino spectra; discussed contributing factors, including those from strongly populated fission products. 235U(n, F)95Y/98Nb/101Nb/102Tc, E=thermal; calculated electron spectra from the decays of 95Y, 98Nb, 101Nb, and 102Tc, and for all the fission products, and compared with experimental electron spectrum; deduced peak-like feature.

High-precision γ-ray spectroscopy of the cardiac PET imaging isotope 82Rb and its impact on dosimetry

RADIOACTIVITY 82Rb(EC), (β+)[from daughter product of 82Sr produced in Rb(p, X), E=40-100 MeV reaction at Brookhaven Linear Isotope Producer (BLIP) followed by chemical separation, and transported to ANL for counting]; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, γγ(θ) using Gammasphere array at ANL. 82Kr; deduced levels, J, π, multipolarity, mixing ratios, ϵ+β+ feedings. Dosimetry analysis relevant to cardiac PET imaging technique. Comparison with previous experimental results.
