B(E2) anomalies in the yrast band of 170Os

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 142Nd(32S, 4n)170Os, E=170 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, half-lives of the first 2+ and 4+ levels by recoil-distance Doppler-shift (RDDS) method using the Orsay universal plunger system, enriched target and ORGAM germanium detector array with ten Compton-suppressed HPGe detectors at the ALTO facility of IPN, Orsay. 170Os; deduced levels, B(E2). Comparison with state-of-the-art beyond-mean-field calculations.

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 162,164,166,168,170,172,174,176,178,180,182,184,186,188,190,192,194,196,198Os; calculated energies of the first 2+ and 4+ levels and their ratios, B(E2) for the first 2+ and 4+ states for 168,170,172Os, and PN-VAP potential energy surfaces for g.s., first 2+ and 4+ states in 170Os. Symmetry conserving configuration mixing (SCCM) calculations using the generator coordinate method (GCM) framework with Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov states from variation after particle number projection (PN-VAP). Comparison with available experimental data.

Low-lying intruder and tensor-driven structures in 82As revealed by β decay at a new movable-tape-based experimental setup

RADIOACTIVITY 82Ge(β-)[from 238U(e, F), E=50 MeV followed by online mass separation using PARRNe mass separator at ALTO ISOL facility of IPN-Orsay]; measured Eγ, Iγ, βγ-, γγ-coin, half-life of 82Ge isotope using BEDO detector assembly. 82As; deduced levels, J, three potential 1+ states, π, β feedings, logft. Comparison with experimental and theoretical values of two 1+ states in 82As and 80Ga. Comparison with empirical core-particle coupling model and fully microscopic treatment within Skyrme-QRPA (quasiparticle random-phase approximation) approach. Discussed Gamow-Teller fragmentation due to tensor correlations and couplings to 2p-2h excitations. 82Ga(β-); measured half-life from growth-decay curve for 1348-keV γ ray, and compared with earlier experimental value. 81,82,82mAs, 81,81mGe, 82Ga, 130,132Sb, 132Sn(β-), 82Ga(β-n); observed γ rays from fission fragments present in the sample.

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 81Ga, 83As, 85Br, 87Rb; calculated proton QP energies, occupation probabilities. 80Ga, 82As, 84Br, 86Rb; calculated unperturbed energies of neutron-proton 2-qp states. 81Ge, 82,83As, 85Kr, 86,87Rb; calculated levels, J, π. 80Ga, 82As; calculated energies and structures of the QRPA dipole (1+) neutron-proton 2-qp states. Comparison with experimental data. Empirical core-particle coupling model and fully microscopic treatment within Skyrme-QRPA approach.
