General Comments:

Identification: chemical separation of spallation products from Hg + p (1969Ar22), 181Ta + p (1972Ch45); observation of known transitions in 171Hf daughter from 165Ho(12C,6n), 159Tb(16O,xn) (1970Re11).

α 2.0 min 5 activity (Eγ=365.4) attributed to 171Ta in 1970DeZF has been reassigned to 167Hf or 168Ta (1987Sz03); the 6.3 min 4 activity (Eγ=59.3, 87.9, 111.9, 198.8) attributed to 171Ta in 1970DeZF probably arises from a mixture of two 168Lu isomers produced via 175Lu(3He,α6n) (1987Sz03).

Q-value: S(2n)=17570 40; S(2p)=8214 28 (2017Wa10)
