Comparisons with coupled-channels calculations using the CCFULL code, including 2+ and 3- excited states of ^{116}Sn, and 2+ excited state of ^{18}O; analyzed systematics of reduced fusion excitation functions of ^{112,116}Sn, ^{112}Cd(^{16}O, X) and ^{116}Sn, ^{148}Nd, ^{92}Mo, ^{74}Ge(^{18}O, X) reactions at sub-barrier energies.

Comparison between measurements and calculations; deduced no enhanced stabilizing effects of the Z=82 shell closure against fission in the compound nucleus.
