Evolution of collectivity near mid-shell from excited-state lifetime measurements in rare earth nuclei

RADIOACTIVITY 168Ta(EC)[from 159Tb(16O, 7n), E=130 MeV]; 174Re(EC)[from 169Tm(12C, 7n), E=115 MeV]; 152Eu(EC); measured Eγ, γγ-coin, γγ(t) using fast timing system at WNSL-Yale University. 168Hf, 174W; deduced levels, half-lives and B(E2) of first 2+ states. Comparison with previous experimental results. Systematics and analysis in terms of differentials of B(E2) values of the first 2+ states for 162,164,166,168,170,172,174,176,178Hf, 164,166,168,170,172,174,176,178,180W.
