Neutron transfer reactions on the ground state and isomeric state of a 130Sn beam

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 9Be, 13C(130Sn, 131Sn), E=520 MeV [secondary 130Sn and 130mSn beams from U(p, F)]; measured reaction products, Eγ, Iγ, Eα, αα-coin, αγ-coin, ααγ-coin. 131Sn; deduced levels, J, π, improved energy values for 1p-2h states. Discussed the probability of one-neutron transfer from the 7- isomeric state in 130Sn. CLARION array of 11 Compton-suppressed HPGe clover detectors combined with BareBall CsI(Tl) array at HRIBF.

Structure of 107Sn studied through single-neutron knockout reactions

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 9Be(108Sn, 107Sn), (106Sn, 105Sn), E=80 MeV/nucleon, [secondary 106,108Sn beams from 9Be(124Xe, X), E=140 MeV/nucleon primary reaction using A1900 separator at NSCL-MSU]; measured yields of reaction products, Eγ, Iγ, (107Sn)γ-coin, momentum distributions, cross sections using CAESAR array of 192 CsI(Na) crystals for γ rays and particle identification by TOF, ΔE-E measured in the S800 focal-plane ion chamber. 107Sn; deduced levels, J, π. Comparison of experimental momentum distribution with eikonal model reaction calculations for neutron removal. Shell-model calculations of cross sections and spectroscopic factors. 105Sn; see 2015Jo03 (reference 20 in present paper) for experimental results.

Analogous intruder behavior near Ni, Sn, and Pb isotopes

RADIOACTIVITY 69Fe, 69Co, 69Ni(β-)[from 9Be(78Kr, X), E=140 MeV/nucleon]; measured Eγ, Iγ, (ion)γ- and βγ- correlated events, half-lives of ground states of 69Co, 69Fe, and half-life of an isomer in 69Co, absolute intensities of γ rays from the decay of directly produced 69Co and that from the decay of 69Fe using BCS system and SEGA array at NSCL-MSU facility. 69Cu, 69Co; deduced levels in 69Cu, and isomer in 69Co, J, π, intruder configuration; identified and discussed proton particle-hole intruder states originating from excitations across Z=28. 68Fe, 68Co(β-); observed γ.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 208Pb(70Zn, X)71Cu, E=440 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin using Gammasphere array at ATLAS-ANL facility. 71Cu; deduced high-spin levels, J, π, band; discussed systematics of level structure and proton particle-hole intruder states in 67,69,71Cu.
