Density distribution of 8Li and 8B and capture reaction at low energy

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 9Be, 12C, 27Al(8Li, X), E=30-110 MeV, [8Li secondary beam produced in 9Be(13C, X), E=130 MeV/nucleon primary reaction]; measured reaction products, reaction σ(E) at HIMAC synchrotron and fragment-separator facility of NIRS, Japan; deduced density distributions of 8B and 8Li using modified Glauber model, halo structure of 8B. 7Li(n, γ)8Li, E=0.01 eV-1 MeV; 7Be(p, γ)8B, E=0-0.5 MeV; calculated capture σ(E) for (n, γ) and S(E) factor for (p, γ) reactions using density distributions determined in present work, comparison with experimental data.

Structure of 8Li from a reaction cross-section measurement

Modified Glauber model analysis of experimental data. Comparison with previous experimental results and with calculations based on harmonic oscillator (HO)+Yukawa and HO+single-particle model (SPM) functions.
