First measurement of polarisation transfer Cnx, in deuteron photodisintegration

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 2H(polarized γ, X), E=370-700 MeV; measured reaction products; deduced the polarisation transfer from a circularly-polarised photon to the final state neutron in deuterium photodisintegration. Cryogenic liquid deuterium target within the Crystal Ball detector at MAMI.

Experimental study of the γp → π0 ηp reaction with the A2 setup at the Mainz Microtron

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 1H(γ, pπ0η), E=0.95-1.45 GeV bremsstrahlung beam; measured reaction products, Eγ, p0ηp events using the Crystal Ball (CB) as a central calorimeter and TAPS as a forward calorimeter at Mainz Microtron facility; deduced Dalitz plots, invariant-mass m(π0p), m(pη) and m(p0η) spectra, total σ(E), distributions of cos(θ) and angle φ for π0, η and recoil proton in helicity and center of mass frames. Partial-wave analyses of three-body final states. Comparison with previous models and fit with revised Mainz model.
