Photoproduction of η mesons from the neutron: Cross sections and double polarization observable E

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 2H(polarized γ, η), E=0-2.35 GeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin from η decaying to 3π0 and consequently to 6γ using CBB (Crystal Barrel) and FP (Forward Plug) CsI(Tl) detectors of CBELSA/TAPS detectors and two layers of plastic scintillators to detect charged particles; deduced 6γ invariant mass, angle difference between η meson and the nucleon for different bins of initial energy, missing mass for the recoil nucleon ToF vs deposited energy, cluster multiplicity, photon flux vs incident photon energy, photon flux vs final-state invariant mass, σ, exclusive σ for neutrons and for protons, σ(θ).

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 2H(polarized γ, nη), (polarized γ, pη), E=400-1450 MeV circularly polarized bremsstrahlung from longitudinally polarized electron beam; measured reaction products, γ-ray spectra from the decay of η mesons in coincidence with recoil nucleons, coplanarity and missing mass spectra, angular distributions for the double-polarization observable using longitudinally polarized deuterated butanol target, the Crystal Ball and TAPS, and the A2 detector system at MAMI-Mainz electron accelerator facility; deduced helicity-dependent cross sections and the double-polarization observables. Comparison with model predictions.
