Multiple band structures in 70Ge

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 55Mn(18O, 2np), E=50 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, γγ(θ)(DCO) using Compton-suppressed Ge array consisting of three Clover detectors and seven single-crystal detectors at John D. Fox Superconducting Accelerator Facility at Florida State University. 70Ge; deduced high-spin levels, J, π, multipolarities, K=2 γ band, negative-parity bands, band crossings, moment of inertia plots, staggering; calculated Routhians. Comparison with shell-model calculations using extended pairing +quadrupole-quadrupole interaction with monopole interactions (EPQQM) as effective interaction. Systematics of moment of inertia and staggering for γ bands in 66,68,70,72,74,76Ge nuclei.

Coexisting single-particle and collective excitations in 70As

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 55Mn(18O, 3n), E=50 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, γγ(θ)(DCO), level half-lives by DSAM at FSU Superconducting Accelerator Facility. 70As; deduced high-spin levels, J, π, multipolarities, B(E2), B(M1), configurations, kinematic moments of inertia, signature splitting. Comparison with previous experimental results, and large-scale shell-model calculations. Systematics of B(M1), B(E2), and energy staggering for 68,70,72,74As.
