Fox Superconducting Accelerator Facility at Florida State University. 70Ge; deduced high-spin levels, J, π, multipolarities, K=2 γ band, negative-parity bands, band crossings, moment of inertia plots, staggering; calculated Routhians. Comparison with shell-model calculations using extended pairing +quadrupole-quadrupole interaction with monopole interactions (EPQQM) as effective interaction. Systematics of moment of inertia and staggering for γ bands in 66,68,70,72,74,76Ge nuclei.

Comparison with previous experimental results, and large-scale shell-model calculations. Systematics of B(M1), B(E2), and energy staggering for 68,70,72,74As.
