γ decay to the ground state from the excitations above the neutron threshold in the 208Pb(p, p'γ) reaction at 85 MeV

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 208Pb(p, p'γ), E=85 MeV; measured scattered protons, Eγ, Iγ, pγ-coin, angular distributions of protons using eight large-volume BaF2 detectors of the HECTOR array for γ radiation, and 16 triple telescopes of the KRATTA array for light charged particles at the Cyclotron Centre Bronowice in Krakow; deduced branching ratios for the γ-ray decay to the g.s. from the isovector giant dipole resonance (IVGDR) and isoscalar giant quadrupole resonance (ISGQR) in 208Pb. DWBA analysis of angular distribution data for 208Pb(p, p') using FRESCO code.
