β- decay of neutron-rich 45Cl located at the magic number N=28

RADIOACTIVITY 45Cl(β-), (β-n)[from Be(48Ca, X), E=140 MeV/nucleon]; measured Eγ, Iγ, Eβ, Iβ, βγ-coin; deduced T1/2, Q values, β-feedings, branchings; calculated logft. 44,45Ar; deduced levels, J, π. Comparison to shell-model calculations with FSU interaction. Systematics of the first excited 2+ state energy for the even-A Ar isotopes (from N= 20 to 30). Beta Counting System (BCS) equipped with a 986 υm thick pixelated (40 strips x 40 strips) DSSD detector, followed by SSCD and surrounded by 16 Clover detectors at NSCL.

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 43,44,45Ar; calculated levels, J, π, B(M1), B(E2), proton and neutron occupation numbers. Shell-model calculations with FSU interaction. Comparison to experimental data.

β decay of 36Mg and 36Al: Identification of a β-decaying isomer in 36Al

RADIOACTIVITY 36Mg, 36Al(β-)[from 9Be(48Ca, X), E=140 MeV/nucleon for experiment at NSCL and 9Be(48Ca, X), E=172.3 MeV/nucleon for experiment at FRIB]; 36Al, 36mAl(β-)[from 36Mg(β-); measured Eγ, Iγ; deduced T1/2. 36Al; deduced levels, J, π, newly-observed β-decaying isomer, T1/2 of the isomer. 36Si; deduced levels, J, π. Comparison to shell model calculations performed with the FSU interaction using code CoSMo. For experiment at NSCL - CeBr3 based implantation detector with position-sensitive photomultiplier tube was surrounded by 16 segmented germanium detectors (SeGa) and 15 LaBr3 detectors. For experiment at FRIB - YSO scintillator based implantation detector segmented into 48x48 pixels was surrounded by 11 HPGe clover detectors and LaBr3 detectors from one side and the neutron detector array VANDLE from the other side.

The half-lives were extracted from the fitting of decay curves. Comparison to calculations performed with shell-model using SDPFSDG-MU interaction. Beta Counting System (BCS) - 40x40 DSSD as the implant and β detector, surrounded by a γ-array of 16 Clover detectors in close geometry (NSCL).

RADIOACTIVITY 71Kr(EC), (β+), (β+p) [from 9Be(92Mo, X), E=140 MeV/nucleon, followed by separation of fragments using A1900 fragment separator and a Radio Frequency Fragment Separator (RFFS) at the NSCL-MSU facility]; measured particle identification plot of implanted ions, Eγ, Iγ, E(p), I(p), (implants)β-coin, (implants)(β-delayed protons)-coin, (implants)γγ-coin, (implants)βγ-coin, T1/2 of decay of 71Kr; deduced absolute number of βγ-coin events, β events, absolute γ intensities, and intensities of β-delayed protons, logft for ground-state to ground-state superallowed β transition using SeGA array with 16 HPGe detectors for γ detection, and double-sided silicon-strip detector (DSSSDs) for particle detection. 71Kr; deduced Jπ and T1/2 of the ground state, decay branching ratios. 70Br; deduced T1/2 of the 0+ g.s. and 9+ isomer. 71Br, 70Se; deduced levels, J, π, β feedings, logft, I(p) feedings. Discussed structure of 71Kr and 71Br mirror nuclei. Comparison with previous experimental results.

Bayesian analysis of beta-delayed proton spectrum.

ATOMIC MASSES 73Rb, 73Sr; analyzed mass excesses by IMME analysis for A=73 isobars of 73Sr, 73Rb, 73Kr and 73Br; deduced mass excesses for 73Rb and 73Sr, and S(p) for 73Rb. Comparison with data in AME2016.
