Triaxial deformation and nuclear shape transition in ¹⁹²Au

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹⁸⁶W(¹¹B, 5n), E=68 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, γγ(θ)(DCO), linear polarization using YRAST Ball array at WNSL, Yale facility. ¹⁹²Au; deduced high-spin levels, J, π, multipolarity, branching ratios, alignments, bands, B(M1)/B(E2), configurations. Comparisons with pairing and deformation self-consistent total Routhian surface (TRS), and cranked shell model (CSM) calculations.
