RADIOACTIVITY 179Au(α), (EC), (β+); 177,177m,176,176mAu, 176,177,179Pt, 173,173m,172,172mIr(α)[179,177,176Au laser ionized and mass-separated beams from U(p, X), E=1.4 GeV, followed by separation of products using Resonance Ionization Laser Ion Source (RILIS) and General Purpose Separator (GPS) at the Windmill decay station of ISOLDE-CERN facility]; measured Eα, Iα, K-x rays, Eγ, Iγ, αγ-coin. 179Pt, 175,173,172Ir, 175Os, 169,168Re; deduced levels, J, π, α-hindrance factors, reduced α-widths, conversion coefficients, multipolarities. 176,176mAu; deduced α-decay branching ratios for the low-spin and high-spin states. 179Au; measured half-life of the decay of the ground state. Systematics of α-reduced widths for 171,173,175,176,177,179Au α decays.

NUCLEAR MOMENTS 176,176mAu; measured in-source laser spectroscopy of hyperfine structure; deduced nuclear magnetic moments, spins and configurations for the high- and low-spin states.
