Impact of 7Be breakup on the 7Li(p, n) neutron spectrum

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 7Li(p, n), E=21 MeV beam from BARC-TIFR Pelletron-Linac facility; measured evaporation products using two silicon detector telescopes, E(n), I(n) by time-of-flight using three liquid organic scintillators, (3He)α-coin, (3He)n-coin, double differential σ(E(3He, α), θ) for 7Li(p, n)7Be* to n+3He+α channel; deduced ΔE-E correlation spectra, 3He-3He energy correlation plot, double differential σ(En, θ) simulated 0° breakup neutron spectrum at 21 MeV with contributions from continuum and resonance. Comparison of neutron spectrum with previous experimental data, and with theoretical calculations using FRESCO code.

Comparison with theoretical calculations using TALYS-1.8 code, and with previous experimental results.

Comparison with the theoretical prediction by TALYS-1.6 with various level-density models and γ-ray strength functions, and TENDL-2015 JENDL-4.0 evaluated libraries.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 194Pt(16O, X)210Rn*, E=75.4, 79.5, 83.7, 87.8, 91.9, 96.0, 101.1, 103.1 MeV; measured particle spectra of evaporation residues, time of flight, energy loss, σ(θ) of evaporation residues, evaporation residue cross sections. Hybrid Recoil Mass Analyzer (HYRA). Data analyzed with statistical model calculations using KramersĀ formula. PACE3 results. 197Au(16O, X)213Fr*, E(cm)=70-130 MeV; 197Au(18O, X)215Fr*, E(cm)=60-120 MeV; analyzed σ(E) data with statistical model calculations assuming Bohr-Wheeler and Kramers fission widths.
