Fusion studies in 16O + 142, 150Nd reactions at energies near the Coulomb barrier

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 142Nd(16O, X), E=60-104 MeV; 150Nd(16O, X), E=56-104 MeV from the 15-UD Pelletron accelerator at IUAC-New Delhi; measured reaction products using the Heavy Ion Reaction Analyzer (HIRA), with electromagnetic configuration of Q1Q2-ED1-M-MD-ED2-Q3Q4 and two silicon surface barrier detectors (SSBDs), evaporation residues (ERs) using position sensitive multiwire proportional counter (MWPC), two-dimensional ΔE versus ToF spectra, σ(E) for ERs; deduced fusion σ(E). 148Nd(18O, X), 142,144,148Nd(16O, X), E-VB=-10-35 MeV analyzed previous and present experimental measurements for reduced fusion σ(E). Comparison with coupled channels calculations using CCFULL code, and with 1D-BPM predictions using Akyuz-Winther (AW) potential parameters.
