Fusion of ⁴⁰Ca+⁴⁰Ca and other Ca+Ca systems near and below the barrier

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ⁴⁰Ca(⁴⁰Ca, X), E=98-130 MeV; measured evaporation residue spectra, σ(E); deduced barrier distribution, astrophysical S factor. ⁴⁸Ca(⁴⁸Ca, X), E(cm)=45-70 MeV; analyzed fusion σ(E), barrier distributions. Comparison with previous experimental data and with coupled-channel calculations based on Woods-Saxon (WS), M3Y+repulsion potentials.
