There are problems in reconciling log ft values from 148Tb ε decay (2.20 min) with ΔJπ of the transitions. More data are needed to clarify these problems.

E(level): From a least-squares fit to Eγ data with ΔEγ=1 keV for Eγ’s with no assigned uncertainty

Jπ(level): Except where noted otherwise, Jπ assignments are based on conversion electron and γ(θ) of oriented nuclei from ε decay (60 min), conversion electron data from ε decay (2.20 min), and γγ(θ), excitation function, conversion electron and γγ(θ) data from (HI,xnγ), with J values generally increasing with excitation energy for the latter dataset. Starting at 7274 level and above the normal deformation data are exclusively from (HI,xnγ) (1990Dr06) with parity assumed by the authors based on theoretical and level scheme arguments and tacitly adopted as tentative by the evaluator.

Jπ(level): Band designations for normal deformed states are from (HI,xnγ) (1990Pi17). Except for the ground state (g.s.) band, the other medium-to-high excitation sequences can be classified as single-particle sequences rather than collective bands. This is due to the fact that, having only two valence neutrons over the Z=64, n=82 doubly magic shell, such a nucleus typically starts at smaller oblate deformations and develops shape coexistence in the normal deformation regime. At very high excitation energies, it develops very large prolate, superdeformed shapes with corresponding collective rotational superdeformed bands. For uniformity, the evaluator kept the conventional designation of bands for all sequences.

T1/2(level): From (HI,xnγ), unless indicated otherwise

E(γ): From ε decay, (HI,xnγ), and (HI,xnγ):SD

I(γ): Relative photon branching from each level for gammas from normal deformed states as opposed to relative intensity within each SD band

M(γ): Except where noted otherwise, mult assignments are based on conversion electron and γ(θ) of oriented nuclei from ε decay (60 min), conversion electron data from ε decay (2.20 min), γγ (θ), excitation function, conversion electron and γγ(θ) data from (HI,xnγ).
