Comparison to theoretical calculations using reflection-asymmetric triaxial particle rotor model (RAT-PRM). From features of the simplex bands suggested that ^{217}Ra exhibits an intermediate behavior between the extremes of spherical and octupole-deformed nuclei. Systematics of energy splittings and B(E1)/B(E2) ratios for ^{216}Fr, ^{217}Ra, ^{218}Ac, ^{219}Th, ^{232}Th. Indian National Gamma Array (INGA) comprising of 13 Compton suppressed clover detectors and one low-energy photon spectrometer (LEPS) at 15UD Pelletron accelerator of Inter-University Accelerator Centre (New Delhi).
