Investigation of the Magnetic Rotation in ¹⁹⁶Pb

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹⁶⁴Dy(³⁶S, 4n), E=168 MeV; measured Doppler-shifted Eγ, γγ-coin. ¹⁹⁶Pb deduced high-spin levels, J, π, magnetic rotational band, T_1/2, B(M1), role of shears mechanism. Euroball array, coincidence recoil distance technique.
