Fission fragment mass yields and total kinetic energy release in neutron-induced fission of 233U from thermal energies to 40 MeV

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 233U, 232Th(n, F), E=thermal-40 MeV; measured E(n), I(n), (fragment)(fragment)-coin, σ(E) for first-, second-, third-, and fourth-chance fission, fission fragment mass distribution as function of neutron energy using twin ionization chamber with Frisch grids at the Weapons Neutron Research (WNR) facility and the Lujan Neutron Scattering Center of LANSC-LANL; deduced average total kinetic energy (TKE) of fragments for pre- and post-neutron emission, fission fragment mass yields, fragment mass TKE distribution contours. Comparison with previous experimental results for TKE. Relevance to fission process in isotopes involved in the thorium fuel cycle.
