Relativistic Fock space coupled-cluster study of bismuth electronic structure to extract the Bi nuclear quadrupole moment

NUCLEAR MOMENTS 209Bi; calculated electric field gradient for the ground and excited electronic states of neutral bismuth; deduced nuclear quadrupole moment (NQM) for 209Bi from field gradient in the present work and available atomic hyperfine splittings, compared with value from molecular data. Fock space coupled-cluster method with single, double, and triple amplitudes (FS-CCSDT) method within the Dirac-Coulomb-Breit Hamiltonian. 202,203,204,205,206,207,208,210,210m,212,213Bi; deduced improved nuclear quadrupole moments by using measured electric quadrupole hyperfine constants 'B' for ground electronic states, and considering uncertainties for electric-field gradients (EFGs); deduced crucial importance of inclusion of triple cluster amplitudes.
