Measurement of the analyzing powers in p(pol)d elastic and p(pol)n quasi-elastic scattering at small angles

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 2H(polarized p, p), (polarized p, n), E=796, 1600-2400 MeV; measured low-energy recoil deuterons in COSY telescopes; deduced analyzing power in p-d elastic scattering, missing mass distribution; measured quasi-elastic low-energy proton in coin with a fast proton measured in ANKE magnetic spectrometer; deduced p-n analyzing power. Compared with limited published information; deduced consistence with earlier results.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 2H(p, px), (p, p2π), E=0.8-2.0 GeV; measured secondary fast protons, deuterons using multiwire chambers and scintillation detectors; deduced enhancement of the pion pair production (ABC effect) having narrow resonance above a smooth continuum, invariant mass of the system, resonance width.

Diproton-pion production in proton-proton collisions at energies of Δ(1232)-isobar excitation. Observation of two two-baryon resonance states with Jπ=0- and 2- and mass 2.2 GeV.
