Antiproton-proton annihilation into charged light meson pairs within effective meson theory

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 1H(p-bar, π-π+), E=3463, 3627, 3680, 4559 GeV; 1H(p-bar, K-K+), E=3680 GeV; calculated σ(θ, E) for two-charged pion production in proton-antiproton annihilation using effective meson model is developed, with mesonic and baryonic degrees of freedom and by implementing form factors and adjusting parameters. Comparison with experimental data. Relevance to PANDA experiment at FAIR facility in GSI.

Antiproton-proton annihilation into light neutral meson pairs within an effective meson theory

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 1H(p-bar, π0π0), (p-bar, ηη), (p-bar, π0η), E(cm)=2.911-3.686 GeV; calculated angular distributions, and integrated cross sections. Comparison with experimental data from Fermilab E760 Collaboration. Calculations based on model built on the effective meson Lagrangian for two neutral pion production in proton-antiproton annihilation. Relevance to future work at the antiproton Annihilation at Darmstadt (PANDA) experiment at the Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research (FAIR).
