Transition strengths in the neutron-rich 73, 74, 75Ni isotopes

NUCLEAR REACTIONS Pb(73Ni, 73Ni'), (74Ni, 74Ni'), (75Ni, 75Ni'), E=215 MeV/nucleon, [secondary cocktail beam from 9Be(238U, F), E=345 MeV/nucleon, and separated by A/Q using the BigRIPS fragment separator at RIBF-RIKEN facility]; measured reaction products identified by the ZeroDegree spectrometer, Eγ, Iγ, (scattered Ni nuclei)γ-coin using the WAS3Abi-EURICA setup with the DALI2 NaI(Tl) array for γ detection. 73,74,75Ni; deduced levels, J, π, B(E2) from Coulomb excitation cross sections. Comparison with large-scale shell model calculations.

RADIOACTIVITY 72Co(β-), (β-n), (β-2n), 73Co(β-n)[from 9Be(238U, F), E=345 MeV/nucleon using BigRIPS separator and ZeroDegree spectrometer at RIBF-RIKEN facility]; measured Eγ, Iγ, βγγ-coin, (72Co implants)β-correlations, half-lives of low-spin and high-spin activities of 72Co using WAS3ABi setup and EURICA array, level half-lives by fast-timing γγ(t) method. 72Ni; levels, J, π, β feedings, logft values, configurations. 70,71Ni; observed γ rays from β-delayed-neutron decay of 72Co. Comparison with previous experimental results, and with simple shell-model calculations including only neutron excitations across the fpg shells.
