Neutron quadrupole transition strength in 10C deduced from the 10C(α, α') measurement with the MAIKo active target

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 4He(10C, α'), E=68 MeV/nucleon, [secondary 10C beam from 9Be(12C, X), E=96 MeV/nucleon primary reaction at the cyclotron facility of RCNP-Osaka and transported to the MAIko active target]; measured scattered 10C and α particles, particle-identification (PID) of recoils, σ(θ). 10C; deduced transition matrix elements of proton (Mp) and neutron (Mn) from the ground state to the first 2+ state in 10C, Mn/Mp ratio. Comparison with shell model calculations.
