Structure of 28Mg studied by β-decay spectroscopy of spin-polarized 28Na: The first step of systematic studies on neutron-rich Mg isotopes

RADIOACTIVITY 28Na[from Ta(p, X), E=500 MeV](β-); measured Eγ, Iγ, Iβ, βγ-, γγ-coin, β asymmetry at ISAC, TRIUMF facility, spin polarized 28Na. 28Mg; deduced levels, J, π, transition probabilities, β feedings, logft. Comparison with previous studies, and shell model predictions with USD, USDA, USDB Hamiltonian calculations. Discussed shell evolution in the region of the N=20 island of inversion.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 116Sn(40Ar, 5n), E=197 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin. 151Er deduced high-spin levels, J, π, multipolarities, configurations. Comparison with deformed independent particle model calculations.
