Detailed α-decay study of 180Tl

RADIOACTIVITY 180Tl(α)[from U(p, X), E=1.4 GeV using Resonance Ionization Laser Ion Source (RILIS) and HRS separator at ISOLDE-CERN facility]; measured Eα, Iα, Eγ, Iγ, E(x ray), I(x ray), αγ- and αγγ-coin. 176Au; deduced levels, α-decay branching ratios, reduced α-widths, total and K-conversion coefficients, multipolarities, configurations, population of only the low-spin activity in 176Au from 180Tl α decay. Comparison with previous experimental data. Systematics of α-reduced widths in α-decays of 178,180,182,184Tl. 180Hg(α)[from 180Tl ϵ decay]; 176Au(α)[from 180Tl α decay]; 176Pt(α)[from 180Hg α decay]; measured Eα, Eγ, αγ-coin. 172Ir; deduced level, low-spin activity in 172Ir populated by 176Au α decay.

Viola systematics of total kinetic energies vs fissility parameter for 180Hg and heavier actinides.
