Implications of PREX-2 data on the electron-neutrino opacity in dense matter

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 208Pb(polarized e, e'), E=953 MeV; analyzed PREX-2 data for a complete G3(M) parameter set; calculated equation of state (EOS) such as the binding energy, pressure, and sound velocity for pure neutron matter using effective Lagrangian for nuclear matter within the extended relativistic mean-field (E-RMF model) and the G3(M) parameter set; deduced differential cross section of the electron-neutrino and electron-neutrino mean free path. Comparison with experimental data, and the results of the chiral effective field theory calculation with N3LO3N forces.
