Possible surrogate reaction for 12C(12C, α)20Ne, 12C(12C, p)23Na, 12C(12C, n)23Mg reactions of astrophysical interest. 20Ne, 23Na, 23Mg; deduced levels populated by the decay of excited states of 24Mg.

Used natural, depleted, and enriched uranium samples. Reviewed previous NEET experiments on 235U. RADIOACTIVITY 235mU(IT)[from 239Pu(α)]; measured half-life of the decay of 235mU isomer at 76 eV by collecting uranium recoils in argon gas.
