Used natural, depleted, and enriched uranium samples. Reviewed previous NEET experiments on 235U.

RADIOACTIVITY 235mU(IT)[from 239Pu(α)]; measured half-life of the decay of 235mU isomer at 76 eV by collecting uranium recoils in argon gas.

NUCLEAR MOMENTS 172Hf; measured g factor of first 2+ state using integral perturbed angular correlation method. Comparisons with g factors of neighboring even-even Hf nuclei and with predictions of several nuclear models including interacting boson approximation (IBA-2).

RADIOACTIVITY 172Ta(EC), (β+) [from 165Ho(12C, 5n), E=85 MeV]; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, and cascade Iγ as a function of angle and magnetic field.
