Clustering effects in ³⁶Ar nuclei produced via the ²⁴Mg + ¹²C reaction

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹²C(²⁴Mg, X)³⁶Ar, E=91.72 MeV; measured Eα, Iα, Ep, Ip, evaporation residues (ER), ER Time-of-Flight, (ER)α-coin; deduced spectra and angular distributions of outgoing particles. Comparison to statistical model, rotating liquid drop model and cranked cluster model predictions. Pointed out signature of the formation of a long-lived orbiting-like dinuclear system at high excitation energies (40-60 MeV) from light-particle emission studies of α-like nuclei. Ball of 8πLP consisting of 125 ΔE-E Si-CsI telescope coupled to an PPAC evaporation residue detector tandem accelerator of Laboratori Nazionli di Legnaro (LNL).
