Isospin diffusion measurement from the direct detection of a quasiprojectile remnant

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 40,48Ca(40Ca, X), (48Ca, X), E=35 MeV/nucleon; measured reaction products, particle spectra, N/Z of quasiprojectiles (QP) using FAZIA multitelescope array at the Superconducting Cyclotron facility of INFN-LNS-Catania; deduced isotopic identification of QP phase space, isospin transport ratio, isospin diffusion as a function of reaction centrality, comparison between QP evaporative and break-up channel. Comparison of the measured equilibration degree with model predictions using antisymmetrized molecular dynamics (AMD) coupled with statistical decay using GEMINI++ code.

Influence of fast emissions and statistical de-excitation on the isospin transport ratio

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 48,40Ca(48Ca, X), (40Ca, X), E=35 MeV/nucleon; analyzed experimental data from INDRA+VAMOS campaign, and FAZIA experiment; calculated neutron-to-proton ratio of the quasiprojectile (QP) as a function of the QP excitation energy, correlations between the neutron-to-proton ratio, symmetry energy of nuclear equation of state, isospin transport ratio. Estimation of the perturbation introduced by dynamical and statistical emissions on the measurement of neutron-proton equilibration via isospin transport ratio. Antisymmetrized molecular dynamics (AMD), and statistical decay (GEMINI and HIPSE).
