Energy dependence of the total cross section for the ¹¹Li + ²⁸Si reaction

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ²⁸Si(¹¹Li, X), E=7.8-26.3 MeV/nucleon; ²⁸Si(⁹Li, X), E=36.2 MeV/nucleon; ²⁸Si(⁶He, X), E=39.1 MeV/nucleon, [^9,11Li, ⁶He secondary beams from ⁹Be(¹⁵N, X), E=49.7 MeV/nucleon primary reaction at the U-400M accelerator of LNR-JINR]; measured yields of ¹¹Li and ⁸He, Eγ, Iγ, E(n), I(n), total reaction σ(E) using ACCULINNA separator for particle identification and CsI(Tl) scintillators for γ detection; deduced probabilities of neutron transfer to the unoccupied bound states in ²⁸Si nucleus and the probabilities of transfer to the states in the continuum, dependence of the correction factor on the separation energy of one and two external neutrons for ⁶He and ⁹Li. Comparison with previous experimental data, and with theoretical calculations based on the numerical solution of the time-dependent Schrodinger equation for the external weakly bound neutrons of the projectile nucleus ¹¹Li.

Cross sections compared with data.
