Modeling heavy-ion fusion cross section data via a novel artificial intelligence approach

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 27Al(16O, F), E<100 MeV; analyzed available data; deduced the integrated σ of the fusion between light-to-medium mass nuclei at above barrier energies, phenomenological formula based on a hybridization of genetic programming and artificial neural networks, capable to derive an analytical model for the description of experimental data.

The CN van de Graaf accelerator of INFN-Laboratori Nazionali di Legnaro, Italy.
