Discussed inconsistencies and difficulty in fitting previous data. Detailed cross section data for both the reactions listed in the Supplemental Material.

Relevance to energy production in type Ia x-ray bursts. The γ rays also seen from 24Mg(α, a°), 24Mg(α, n)20Ne, and 24Mg(α, γ)28Si.
