Improved limit on the ²²⁵Ra electric dipole moment

NUCLEAR MOMENTS ²²⁵Ra; measured Larmor precession in a uniform magnetic field using nuclear-spin-dependent laser light scattering for laser-cooled and trapped ²²⁵Ra atoms; deduced upper limit of electric dipole moment (EDM); discussed future improvement of experimental methods in lowering the limit by five orders of magnitude. Comparison with previous experimental results. Relevance to CP violation.
