Field theory of the d + t → n + α reaction dominated by a 5He* unstable particle

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 3H(d, n)4He, E(cm)<0.10 MeV; analyzed astrophysical S(E) factor from a fit of 2665 experimental data points. Effective, nonrelativistic quantum field theory method providing a description of the d+t fusion process, with the assumption that an intermediate 5He* unstable spin-3/2+ resonance dominates the d+t-fusion reaction.
