RADIOACTIVITY ^160,160mTa, ^164,164mRe, ^168,168mIr, ¹⁷²Au(α)[from ⁹⁶Ru(⁷⁸Kr, X), E=342, 348 MeV]; measured Eα, αγ-correlations, and half-lives. ^157,160Hf, ^160,164W, ^{164,165,167,168}Os, ^168,169,171Ir, ^{169,170,171,172}Pt, ^164,165Re, ^171,173Au, ^172,173Hg(α); measured Eα, αα-correlations of α-decaying pairs. ¹⁶⁰Ta, ¹⁶⁴Re, ¹⁶⁸Ir, ¹⁷²Au; deduced levels and isomers.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ⁹⁶Ru(⁷⁸Kr, X)¹⁷²Au/¹⁷³Au, E=342, 348 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-, γα-, γα(recoils)-coin and γ(θ). ¹⁷²Au; deduced levels and multipolarity. Routhian surface calculations for ¹⁷²Au.
